Ever so slightly hazy deep golden and light copper coloured body with a nice, two centimetre tall off-white head that stays afloat for a long while. Aroma of mangoes, papaya, a dash of hibiscus tartness and some passionfruit notes as well, but quite tropical throughout along with some sturdy alpha acids that show some bitterness here as well. Medium-bodied; Strong mango and papaya notes dominate with a lot of body from those and some structured malt here as well, but the tropical fruit notes show more on the hop side of things with a pleasant and fairly subdued bitterness, but some nice sweetness at the end, as well. Aftertaste is crisp and robust with the fruits with a good balance of sweetness and bitterness, with a nice support from the hops all make for a very enjoyable beer that hits the marks nicely, especially for the style. Overall, a very nice beer that is great for the style and shows the mango, papaya and even passionfruit tropical notes nicely, while allowing for some bitterness here from the hops. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Trader Joe's in San Fransisco (North Beach), California on 08-March-2022 for US$2,63 sampled later in the day here in my hotel room here in Fairfield, California on 08-March-2022.

12 oz. can from HEB in Boerne, TX. Pours a murky cocktail sauce color with a khaki head and poor retention. No lacing. Mango and tomato sauce aroma. Flavor of very hot/spicy tomato sauce with no mango flavor or beer flavor. Terrible. Definite drain pour. Top 5 worst beers I've ever tasted. Yes, it should be out of production.

16Fl Oz on tap at SawDust, Laguna Beach. Into a plastic cup on 12th December 2021. Red hue to the body, off-white wispy head. Malty front to the nose and taste, caramel notes and a sweetness throughout, light hoppy finish for balance.

16 oz. can sent by SLO for my comment. Big orange smell right as I pull the tab. Pours a hazy reddish color, under a fizzy but short-lived white head. Taste is again sweet fruit, I think I might be able to pick out that it was indeed a blood orange. Again, not much hefe flavor to note, just there to give it a beer body. Their publicity said this Cali-Squeeze line was meant more as a counter to fruit flavored alco-pops, and it succeeds there.

16 oz. can sent by SLO. Pours slightly darker than the Mango, but still very hazy. Still looks like a beer instead of a fruity beer slushie, so I needn't complain. Smell is almost all tropical fruit punch, but I like this much more than I like mango. Tropical fruit is all in the taste, overwhelming the hefeweisen clove ester. But the fruit tastes nice and rich, not too sweet, and I have to say I like this as fruit beers go.

16 oz. can sent by SLO. Well, it pours a very big head, I'll say that right off. Hazy, hazy gold beer color shows up underneath. There's a dominant nose of mango right up there. Frankly, I'm not big on mango, though I can see it's been well placed here. Hefeweizen is a good choice of base style, just a bit of ester in the back. Rather pleasant as fruit beers go.
