Danke an Dorin. Heller herb gewürziger Antrunk. Helle Hefenoten, aufkommende starke Bitterkeit. Dazu gesellt sich eine ebenfalls deutliche Hopfigkeit, die auf gleicher Stufe mit der kräutrigen Hefe steht. Vollmundig. 11/10/9/10//10

Danke an Dorin. Spritzig hopfig-hefiger Beginn, etwas getreidig. Konstante runde Herbe, geringe Bitterkeit. Süffig, die Hefigkeit wird zusammen mit dem Hopfen etwas stärker. Spritziger, rund bitterer Nachhall. Gut! 8/10/11/11//11

500ml on tap at Chisinau Airport as "Red Lager". Pours ruby red with a medium-sized off-white head. Aroma is caramel, grain, weak hoppy notes. Taste is slightly sweet, malty, toffee and light toastiness. Underwhelming.

PET growler from the brewery. Cloudy dark brown, beige head. The aroma is tossed sunflower seeds, some sweetness - dark fudge, well toasted bread crust. The taste is pretty balanced, and soft - light roast, dark fudge, hints of cottage cheese pie. Very little hops, if any, and light heart burning acidity. Light body. Decent.

FEB-2020. Draft at the source. Bright lemony yellow, white head. Smells of fresh sweet bready malts, light cereals, just a touch of lemon. Taste - very light bready sweetness, a touch of dough, touch of lemon sorbet, light but crisp spicy bitterness. A little too chewy for a German pils, otherwise... Excellent - 3,7/5.

TAP at Craft Baza. Hazy lemony straw, creamy white head. Nice rustic juicy lemon rind and yeasty cocktail. Similar taste - dry, just a hint of honey, juicy grassy hops, soft but potent enough bitterness. The yeast haze does not bother - just makes the mouthfeel smoother. 7-4-7-4-14=3,5

15-JAN-2017. PET growler from the brewery. Cloudy golden white head. Very rustic bready and doughy aroma, a hint of tart fruit. Not. Much hops. Soft sweet bready taste, a little doughy yeast, light clean herbal bitterness. Clean and soft mouthfeel. A top notch zwickel. 6-3-7-3-14=3,3

NOV-2018. TAP at Lumencraft Pub. Batch #4, probably. Opaque black, espresso head. No sharp upfront coffee, but there's enough chocolate brownies, chocolate chip cookies - that is dark and sweet. Getting dried red berries - probably the hops - as it warms up, but still not much coffee. No prominent coffee or candies in the taste either, sweetness dialed way down - it's and almost seamless blend of lightly roast grains, spicy hop with just a whiff of red wine. In the end not much coffee (thankfully), yet a very well crafted medium body stout. 7-4-7-4-15=3,7.

MAY-2018. TAP at Lumencraft Pub/Airport. Batch #3, I think. Smooth fat dark chocolate and a complex spicy mix of higher alcohol. Great roasty spicy chocolate aftertaste and, thankfully, not much coffee. Excellent. 7-4-8-4-15=3,8.

JAN-2017. TAP at Smokehouse. Batch #1. Really dark brown, looks transparent, creamy beige head. The nose is pretty much all coffee, cocoa powder. Surprisingly strong taste, lots of coffee and cocoa candies, pretty sweet but with enough roasty balance from coffee and barley, as well some hops. Some pleasant winey notes. A touch straightforward, but not bad overall. 6-4-7-4-13=3,4.

DEC-2018. Cloudy amber, creamy ivory head. The aroma has notes of baked apples and cinnamon, spicy phenolics - kinda harsh on the nostrils - too much stroke matches - feels young rather than "Belgian". The taste is close the the aroma - sweet bread and cooked fruit, young and astringent, juicy and lively, very low on hops and not that much character from the yeast, to be honest. It might not be what it wants to, but surely drinks well, like a fresh weizen it such. A good one. 6-4-7-4-14=3,4.

MAR-2018. Almost clear deep amber, sticky off-white head. Belgian estery aroma - kinda fruity but also rooty - some white bread, spicy boozy notes. The taste has gentle vaguely fruity sweetness, oily and bready undertones and prominent boozy spice. With all that, it does not feel harsh or overly hot, but is not the easiest drinking beer either. Not bad, overall. 6-4-6-4-14=3,4.

MAR-2017. Almost clear amber-red, off-white head. Subtle fruity and bready aroma. Clean but pretty characterless. Light dry malty, slightly fruity, light hoppy and alcoholic bitterness. Better, still mediocre. 6-4-6-3-12=3,1.

JAN-2017. PET fro the brewery. Cloudy red, off-white head. Sweet estery aroma - fruit and lollipops, bready, nail Polish heat, notes of raw yeast. Very hot taste as well, light caramel sweetness and acetone, dirty sauerkraut finish. A fermentation gone wrong. 4-3-4-2-9=2,2

PET growler at home. Murky pale gold, white head. Big pineapple aroma, some dank and catty notes. A little yeasty dirt, unfortunately. Medium dry, justa little bready sweetness, then goes all pineapple and dank hops, light danky and soft resiny bitterness. Very soft powdery mouthfeel. A nice dank hopped up lager (with an ale feel). Very nice, if a bit dirty.
