On tap at Lumencraft Chisinau Airport, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out crisp piney hops, dry biscuity malt and a hint of a metallic character. Flavour is crisp and dry, with bitter citrus and piney hops, a crisp biscuity malt, and metallic notes. Bone dry and rather astringent, but it's crisp and drinkable. Okay.

On tap at Lumencraft Chisinau Airport, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out a nice balance of banana and clove, with soft pillowy wheaty notes. Flavour follows through, with banana esters, spicy clove and a crisp biscuity malt base. Fairly dry, with a spicy clove finish. Competently made, just not a big fan.

On tap at Lumencraft Chisinau Airport, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out crisp piney hops, some citrus and cereal malt. Flavour is clean and crisp, with citrusy hops upfront, backed by a clean biscuity malt bill. Crisp, punchy and well-balanced. Very good.

On tap at Lumencraft Chisinau Airport, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out subdued floral hops, straw and biscuity malt. Flavour is nice and crisp, with grassy hops, crisp crackery malt and straw. Crisp and punchy. This is quite good.

PET from Lumencraft Pub, Airport. Murky dark amber, off-white head. The aroma has strong hop resins and some canned peaches, just a trace of malts far behind. The taste is mostly hop dominated - strong hop resins, zest oils, very little malts or proper sweetness. The carbonation is a bit stingy, and despite the hops and the CO2, the finish feels a bit thin. Very bold hops, but a little more support from the malts would be nice too.

Growler from the brewery. Cloudy bright gold, white head. Beautiful flowery and honey sweetness in the nose, followed by balancing dried herbs. The taste: again, same light and bright sweetness, flowers and honey, light balancing herbal bitterness. No usual farmhouse funk, spice or dryness of a saison, but a really good blonde belgian ale it is, of the easy-drinking „light and bright” variety.

DRAFT at the airport. Almost clear straw, white head. Strong bready malts and fresh tart raspberries, some dough. Spicy soft bodied rustic pilsner taste with a subtle fresh raspberries in the aftertaste - nice match.

TAP at Lumencraft Pub, Chișinău Airport. Clear amber-red, no head. Smells of cherry syrup and fermenting fruit. The taste is light sweet, light red wine acidity with a drop some cherry liqueur thrown in. Does not taste like a beer, but not a bad fruity drink. OK.

BOTTLE 75 CL from Chișinău Lumencraft Pub. Hazy ruby-red, no head. The aroma is not strong but pleasant - sweet cherries soaked in some brandy, cherry syrup, fruit pie, some alcoholic heat. The taste is also mostly fruity with some caramel in, distant malty/bready notes, soft alcohol in the aftertaste. No hop bitterness - just a little alcoholic spice. The alcohol is only making your palate a little numb, not more. No carbonation - it's totally flat - and that's its biggest (only?) drawback. So, overall, it's pretty close to the plain version, but the barrel added some of those nice chocolaty notes that aged spirits have.

Draft at the Chișinău Airport. Murky dark amber, small head. Some orange flavoured candy, boozy phenolic harshness. Similar flavour, early candy sweetness, followed by phenolic harshness. No spice, no hops. Rudimentary.
