Panda at home, thanks to Graham Grumbo, 29/05/2025.
Hazed golden orange topped with a big old frothy white cap ... quite a lively pour.
Nose is grass, bitter orange, straw, toasted grains.
Taste comprises bitter orange, grass, citric tinged straw, ripe melon.
Medium bodied, light prickly carbonation, semi drying close with a grassy hop edge.
Passable pale ... a little harsh and astringent in places and over-carbed.

Cask at Pickled Pig, Stafford (not listed in Brewver). Pours classic “bitter brown” with a small scummy off-white head and good lacing. The aroma is basically hops and malts with just a trace of butter. In the mouth it fluctuates between bitter and sweet. Flavour has traditional hops, caramel and malts with hints of ginger and spice. Finish is slightly dry and leaning more towards bitterness. This is a decent standard bitter.
