Bottle from Webbs Garden Centre, Wychbold, Worcestershire, Sunday 6th April 2014. Consumed at home, Wednesday 9th April 2014 Pours more light amber than gold, again a little murky initially mid sized white head but now just a small filmy head. A little biscuity with a bitterness at edge. There is a just a slight citrus edge but more malty. Another ok beer from Friday. A6 A3 T6 P3 Ov12 3.0

Bottle from Webbs Garden Centre, Wychbold, Worcestershire, Sunday 6th April 2014. Consumed at home, Wednesday 9th April 2014 Pours amber, a little murky whilst there is a filmy head it feels a little flat. Perhaps a little more bitter than I expected but in truth it ain’t that bitter or interesting. A fairly standard bitter, touch sweet, a little hoppiness, some caramel, I’m being hard it’s ok, it’s just that it is following an Orval. Ok. A6 A3 T6 P3 Ov12 3.0

Bottle courtesy of dad, consumed at Isobels, Eardisley, Herefordshire Tuesday 31st December 2013 ( New Years Eve) Pours brown no head. Good brown beer, little sweet but it is fruity. Only 3.1% but tastes a little stronger. A little bitterness showing, not that different from many others of this ilk but its fine. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

Bottle from Hop Pocket Wine near Hereford. Pours brown with a negligible head. There’s chocolate, lots of roasty malt and a little sourness. Maybe a little thin at first but the malt bulks it out by the end. The big problem here though is the aggressive carbonation which kills the flavour. Would no doubt be decent on cask but the fizz ruins it in the bottle.

500ml bottle from the Heart of England Fine Foods shop in Shrewsbury. Has a welcoming foamy head with plenty of yeast in suspension and a lovely sweet aroma. A brilliant full-flavoured beer with a slight caramel hint to the malts. Very nice indeed.

Bottle at home 11.07.13 picked up at The Hop Pocket, Bishops Frome last weekend Pours very dark brown with a small light tan head, the nose is quite roasty. Taste follows on from the nose i.e. predominantly roasty, in fact its quite a dry, ashy, tangy stout, very little sweetness. Its a reasonable stout. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1
