330 ml. bottle sampled @ VBF 2017. THX! for sharing Kraddel. Hazy orange, off-white head. Nose is cheesy plastic cleaning agent hops, soap, some Sorachi Ace vibe here but it is all weird, herbal, plastic, herbal,... Taste is the same, plastic soap, cheese, sugar, plastic herbal,.. Body is plastic & sugar. Hop list seems nice but it came out all weird. This brewery has been more successful in the past with USA hops.

Bouteille 33cl, BB 09/2017. Orange, col épais assez impressionnant, tenace et blanc-cassé. Arôme est mitigé, de suite je note un côté yaourt à la fraise fermenté, le tut avec un mélange de soupe de houblons fermentés trop haut. A aucun moment, je note le bouquet si particulier du Sorachi et en fait un fini noble domine sans me^me vraiment ouvrir une quelconque forme de caractère olfactif. Palais est semblable, ’messy’, avec cette impression de houblons bouillis, le tout est épais et sirupeux avec bcp trop de sucre résiduel. Encore une fois, le Sorachi, si facile à repérer, est absent. Retrouve une bière haute en alcool, sans être aboutie, un peu herbacée sur la fin, touche d’agrumes, huileux avec un aspect de houblon en pellette qui n’ont pas été amenés au bout de l’ébullition ou alors ont été bcp trop loin.

Pours rather unclear amberblonde. Good white head. Smell is corny malts, some ( not so intense ) hoparomatic features. Taste is refines, some bitterness, creamy malty background. As expected from this Brewery, it is very balanced. I do realize how boring that sounds, and usualy, I agree, balance = boring. but not here. it has all the right tastes, just not at an overly extreme level. This is a great craftbeer, that can speak to other people’s minds as well ( unlike your average ’ coffee infused maple syrup chocolate dry hopped eisbocked imperial stout with brett ’ ) I’m getting more and more fan of this Brewery, and this is just the next step in showing the world how well they make a beer !

7/I/17 - 33cl bottle from Bierhalle Deconinck (Vichte) @ home - BB: IX/2017 (2017-26)

Little hazy amber beer, huge creamy off-white to beige head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: pretty fruity, some grapefruit, ripe fruits, jam. MF: soft carbon, medium body. taste: sweet start, tropical fruit flavoured bubble gum, some banana, jam, bitter touch, caramel. Aftertaste: soft bitterness, bit malty, sweet touch, caramel, malty, more jam, spicy, some grapefruit.

Fruity nose. Slightly hazy medium golden, good two finger frothy off-white head, diminishing quickly, fair lacing. Aroma pale malts, green apple, pineapple, light caramel. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, fruity, bit yeasty. Sweetbitter aftertaste, spicy notes. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Friendly fresh fellow this blind mole.
