Bottle 75 cl. Pours an opaque black with a beige head. The aroma is more rustic than really nice. Medium body, some roast and licorice with a pleasant, woody Bourbon edge. A little late malt astringency. 130913

Bottle 75 cl. Pours a cloudy orangey brown with a smallish off-white head. Very sophisticated tart aroma, very woody with underlying caramel. Medium-bodied, heavy carbonation, again a lovely woody/caramellish note with Brett thrown in. Tart but never astringent. Very nice indeed. 130913

Pours a cark, cloudy copper, with almost no head. Pronounced hop aroma. Flavor is primarily bitter, piney hops, with a light malt sweetness to somewhat balance things out. Resinous and with a very bitter finish. Not a bad IPA.

Clear gold with a frothy, well-sustained head - nose is sourish (spoiled orange juice), with moderate spicy hops and light mineral - flavor is very bitter and hoppy up front, tasting almost like an ipa - this is followed by light sourness and a fairly strong minerality - lightly sweet pils malt.character before a dry, overly bitter finish.

A well-designed IBU delivery vehicle - a mildly sweet, clean malt base braces the palate, but after that it’s all bitterness and peppery and citric hops - despite the high hop acids, it manages to not be abrasive - sadly, there is a bit of cheesy hop flavor that detracts from the other pleasant characteristics - still a solid ipa.
