Description
In 1853 Jean-Théodore Piedboeuf started brewing. The company mainly developed after 1905 under the impetus of Henri Piedboeuf and his brother-in-law Albert Van Damme. Through the years the company grew strongly through acquisitions. The Piedbœuf brewery merged in 1988 with the Artois Brewery in Leuven to form the Interbrew group. In 2004, it merged with Brazilian brewer Companhia de Bebidas das Americas (AmBev) to form the InBev company. In 2008 it merged with Anheuser-Busch, creating the Anheuser-Busch InBev group. This group has four breweries in Belgium, including the location in Jupille, which was renamed Brasserie Jupiler.

Bottle in a random wine bar in Oxford. Long story but as I was driving it had to be AF. The first bottle was OK as a pilsner on a hot day, but the second made my mouth go funny.

Cerveza rubia, limpia y cristalina, espuma blanca, espesa, persistente.

Bottle at home, Brown beer, small head. Aroma is malt, sweet, caramel, wort, sugar. Taste is the same, very initially almost sickly sweet, malt, caramel, wort. Once used to the sweetness rather ok for 1% ABV but not great

Clear golden pour with a fluffy, but not very stable white head. Aroma is grain, cardboard and a hint of citrus. Taste is somewhat flat - mainly grain, slightly bitter finish. I was a bit surprised to see mais/corn and rice on the list of ingredients. Quenches the thirst on a hot summer day, though.

0.33 and 0.5 cans from Belgium. Decent lager beer with a nice golden color, buth still one of the "worst" Belgian beverage I’ve had so far - which may sound negative but it’s rather proves how many awesome beer the country has. Refreshing, drinkable, not bad at all.

Ontap at the bier markt. Decided to have some draft with my lunch. Why not? The server called this the Stella of Belgium???? Ummmm ok? Wel thisis pretty much the same beer as Stella. Very light on the hops, almost non existant. Light cereals, and a light bitter finish. This is just beer. Refreshing on a summer patio for sure. But its pretty boring, but i can see what they are aiming to do with this beer.
