Description
A little background... In Richmond Virginia’s unbelievable beer scene, one of the pioneering brewpubs is a place called the Answer. Brandon Tolbert, as many of the craftiest craft beer folks know, was the head brewer and creative force behind this brewpub. He left the Answer a short while ago, when they started taking a different approach to making beer, and set out to do his own thing.
Well, flash forward to today and Brandon’s new creative project is imminently happening.

Admin Note: Beers are contract brewed at Twelve Percent Beer Project in North Haven, CT

Can picked up at Kihoskh and shared at home - opaque orange with a nice frothy white head. Big punchy juicy fruity with big hits of mango and papaya, grapefruit and pineapple, sweet soft sticky resinous backbone, dank big hitting hoppy finish, lovely, goes down a treat.

Can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a deep brown to black with a finger of brown head that lingers. Marshmallow and coffee dominate the nose. More of the same on the palate with cinnamon really shining through nicely. ABV hidden nicely. Smooth mouthfeel and nice full-bodied finish. Not overly sweet.

Pencil shavings, pineapple nose. Clear amber, thick head, little retention, some lacing. Pineapple, oak, bourbon. Medium body, easy carbonation. I buy the concept, but this was rather stale. Dated 10/24/21, sampled 11/18/22.

Orange, pencil shavings, honey aroma. Clear amber, medium head. Honey, orange peel, lemongrass. Medium body, easy carbonation. Not as fun as the hazy IPAs, but this is a very well made standard DIPA. Superb balance, checks all the boxes.
