Toye’s first, using the ’Guldensporenslag’ from 1302 as its theme. Creamy, off-white head, misty golden blonde robe. Aroma of citrus peel, pineapple, yoghurt, green apples, honey and also a bit phenolic, with a slightly chemical feel to it. Fruity taste, citrus touch, caramel and bready malts, finish mildly and aromatically hoppy. Just another tripel, but I intuitively feel the intention is good and something more interesting may come out of this brewery sooner or later.
