Draft at Haarlem beer festival. Pours dark brown with a medium tan head. Aroma of wood, chocolate, cognac, roasted malt, coffee and a touch of dark fruit. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Slightly unclear, red brown beer, firm beige head. Aroma of caramel, burned caramel, light dark fruits, candy sugar, quite fruity. Bitter flavour, roasted malts. Quite thin body. Bitter finish.

Unclear black colour, beige head. Aroma of caramel, coffee, cacao, roasted malts and some spices. Bitter roasted malts flavour, malts, bitter dark coffee. Quite thin body for a stout, finish coffee and roasted malts.

Tap @ Drie Dorstige Herten. Hazy amber brownish colour with an off-white head. Nose is caramel malts, slightly fruity, bit of citric. Flavour is caramel malts, some fruits. Medium carbonation. A bit harsh. Not too well.

The beer smells like soap, but it tastes even worse. Kuit beer can be nice, but this beer proves it can be horrible as well.

330ml bottle. Cloudy reddish dark amber colour with average to huge, frothy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Piney hop aroma, caramel malty basis. Taste is minimally tart, slightly piney hoppy, a touch of peppermint, earthy notes.

Sampled draught @ Tilburg Bierfestival 2013. Dark brown, little mocha head. Nose is sweet coffee, milky coffee, creamy, chocolate, cacao,… Taste is bitter creamy chocolate milk, light liquorish, herbs, light bitter roast, cacao & sweet coffee. Creamy but not particularly heavy body. Nice.

Sampled draught @ Tilburg Bierfestival 2013. Blackish, good sized tanned head. Nose is sweet liquorish, coffee, brown sugar, mocha and light roast. Taste is oily bitter syrup, molasses, sticky vines, reasonable amount of liquorish, sweet herbs, light roast. Oily & sticky body. Not what one would expect traditionally but quite enjoyable still.
