Sampled draught @ Tilburg Bierfestival 2013. Reddish amber with some off-white bubbles for a head. Nose is thick caramel, brown sugar, lightly fruity, sweet malts. Taste is mellow, caramel, brown sugar, light jam, touch tart, young beer / hop sourness, spices, fruity, sweet yeast. Oily & touch watery. Not too impressive but enjoyable still.

Pale blond, big lumpy head. Aroma of fresh, pale malt. Flavour also has light malts. It’s hoppy with sharp fruitiness. Light body but a fresh feel.

Black color, small head. Mild roasted malt aroma, with some sourness. The body is thinner than expected, some roasted malt, good chocolate, too much sourness.

Bottled shared at home - cheers Steven! Pours lively! Big white head on a dark brown beer, doesn’t last. Aroma has faint wood and whisky, some roasted notes. Tastes like a Belgian take on stout, more spirits, slightly medicinal, minty even. Finishes a bit thin for the strength. OK. Too fizzy and a bit confused.

Draft at the Brouwcafe, Scheveningen. Poured a cloudy dark brown colour with a frothy off white head. The aroma is yeasty with a little fruit. The flavour is hoppy, weak bitter with a little citrus fruit and a watery palate. Carbonation is low, but it remains a refreshing beer.

Tap at the Den Haag festival 2013. Poured a dark mahogany with a frothy tan head. The aroma is roasted malt and some yeast in the background. The flavour is medium bitter, citrus zesty, yeasty and with some liqourice too.

Hazy pale yellow, white head. Aroma of wort, sugar and malts. Quite bitter flavour, very sweet, wort. Finish unyeasted wort.
Not a fan. It feels like this is more wort than beer effectively. Or like they inadvertently recreated a meerts beer.

Slighly hazy golden colour, off-white head. Aroma of hops, apricot, malts and honey. Quite sweet flavour, malts, light hops. Finish hops and lots of honey.
Feels a bit like an aged IPA to me. I’m quite sure this cannot be the Lambok, due to the lack of sweet dark malty bock character, and eh.. well, the colour, but the people behind the bar were absolutely sure this is the beer they served, even after several enquiries.
