La Brasserie d’Erquelinnes ou Brasserie Brootcoorens
se situe à Erquelinnes dans le Hainaut.
Une petite brasserie vraiment différente… L’homme qui sonne l’Angélus…
C’est depuis le début des années 90 qu’Alain Brootcoorens se passionne pour la production de bière. Pendant plusieurs années, c’est dans son garage aménagé en brasserie pour la circonstance qu’il peaufine des recettes.
Produire et partager des bières de qualité, non standardisées dans le cadre du développement local plutôt qu’économique. C’est bien là la réelle motivation de ce brasseur… En décembre 2000, la brasserie voit le jour à Erquelinnes…

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Comes as: "La Père Nebel Blonde". Pours a cloudy golden with a creamy white head. Fruity and yeasty nose. Medium body, excessive carbonation, dominated by massive phenols - not so hot. 150213

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are straw, soap, malt, grass, fruits and hops

75 cL bottle. Pours cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is vanilla and light toasted malty. Bitter and light toasted malty. Dry and light yeasty to vanilla finish.

Bottle as "La Père Nebel Blonde", 8%. Clear golden with small white head. Aroma is malt, fruit, yeast, little vanilla and a little bread. Flavour is malt, yeast, medium sweet, little vanilla, fruit, little hop, little artificial, spices and a little bitter.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting as Brootcoorens La Père Nebel Blonde. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, fruity, yeasty and light spicy. Flavor is quite sweet and light bitter. Sweet finish. 150213

Bottle @ The 4th Annual Fastelavns-Tasting Ulfborg, 2013. Pours cloudy golden with a small white head. Vanilla, risalamande and grain beneath. Artificial. Dry and short finish.

Bottled. Hazy yellowish golden colour with a mediumsized white head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is fruity, yeasty, some mild herbal and grassy notes along with mild spicyness. Flavour is rather similar with quite interesting spicy finish. Doesn’t have any real aftertaste though.

Bottle. Pours a hazy yellow golden color with a white head. Has a fruity malty spicy yeasty aroma. Slightly sweeeish malty spicy yeasty flavor. Has a fruity malty yeasty finish.

11/VII/2012 - 75cl bottle from De Bierloods / Zytholoog (Adegem) @ home - BB: III/2012 (2012-712)
Clear pale blond beer, big fizzy white head, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very grassy and herbal first, some marijuana upon opening the bottle, pale malt, little sourish, bit chemical, touch of paint. MF: good carbon, medium body. Taste: little citrus, orange peel, bit herbal, malty, little sugary, soft bitterness. Aftertaste: sweet, sugary, some citrus, little bitter, sour touch, malts. Not very exciting.

Clear blond beer, irregular white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: very spicy, sweet malts, herbal hops. MF: good carbon, medium body. Taste: citrussy start, spicy, herbal hops, bit grassy, some chemical bitterness. Aftertaste: bitter, citrus, spices, little chemical.
