Fles thuis geprobeerd met LiekevdV. Het is een donkerbruin bier met een volle crèmekleurige schuimkraag. Het heeft een wat chocolade achtige geur. De smaak is wat zoet en chocolade achtig met een wat cacao nasmaak.

T: dark malts, raspberries, red berries fruity, chocolate, cocoa, bit coffee, caramel, for me nice combo, medium to full body and medium carbonation, very enjoyable.

33cl Bottle. Black colour, beige head. Aroma of roast and raspberries. Flavour of raspberries, very jammy, roast, some caramel, chocolate, bitter finish. Light to medium bodied. Decent stuff.

0.33 l bottle from 'Ace Drinks', bottled in April 2018. Pitch black with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, light brown head. Sweetish-malty, gently roasty and a little boozy aroma of dark chocolate, licorice, coffee, some rum and a touch of vanilla. Gently sweet, malty, quite roasty taste of dark chocolate, licorice, lots of coffee, some rum and just a touch of vanilla, followed by a long, gently roasty-bitter, slightly earthy, a bit warming but not boozy finish. Full body, smooth and creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Extremely pleasant, well-balanced and still rather thick beer. Rum is not one of my favourite barrels but this one turned out very well!
