Bottle at Maakun’s. Black with tan head. Sweet deep roasted chocolate malts, light cinnamon, massive cloves, yes I taste the cooked pears, rye, massive licorice. Big sweet and big bitter. Medium body and soft carbonation. Bad cocktail of nice ingredients. Plasticcy and “sinterklaasschuimpjes” sweet finish. Bottle shared thanks to sjogro! Very dark brown with dark beige head. Actually some stewed pears which is surprising. Cloves, vanilla, roasted malts, licorice, ash, brown bread, light oily plastic, cinnamon, brown sugar. Over medium sweet and bitter. Over medium bodied with oily feel. There’s a lot of nice stuff here, but also weird oily clove notes that I don’t like. A bit hit and miss in the same beer.

F: big, tan, good retention. C: coppery, hazy. A: malty, caramel, tropical fruits, bit mango and tangerine. T: malty, caramel, bit red fruits, mango, tangerine, orange, almost fresh fruity feeling, bit toffee, very nice balanced beer for the style, medium body and soft carbonation, enjoyed, 33cl bottle from Beerwulf webshop.

Thuis uit een flesje. Heel apart! Ik weet niet goed wat ik hier van moet vinden. Als glaasje bij een dessert, lijkt het mij erg goed (ik proef vanilleijs). Veel caramel. Gewoon als bier vooraf iets te heftig. Goed, maar over de top.

Tap at De la Gare. Black with creamy light brown head. Roast, massive tart raspberries, some chocolate and light earthy. Solid medium sweet, just medium sour and bitter. Creamy over medium bodied, velvety and smooth. Nice!

33cl Bottle, thanks Henkie! Brown colour, beige head. Aroma of caramel, toast and coffee. Flavour of caramel, toast, coffee, hint of mocha, light fruity, bitter finish. Light bodied.
