Draft at the Rootz Winterbeer Festival ’16. Clear brown with a thick tan head. Aroma of malt, overripe dark fruits, raisins and caramel. Flavour is moderate sweet and above moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Original review text: 33cl bottle at home. Dark caramel pour with a medium height beige head that gives way to a thin velvety lacing. Notes of raisins, figs, toffee, caramel, soft liquor. Medium body and carbonation and a bitter-sweet finish.

Bottle courtesy of monstermagnet, many thanks! Brown color with tan head. Aroma is intense fresh coffee, some green peppers. Taste is aromatic fresh coffee, green peppers, some chocolate. Dry finish. Medium carbonation. I really like the coffee flavour. Very nice, albeit one-dimensional.

Bottle. Hazy amber color with tan head. Aroma is piney hops, caramel, toffee. Taste is caramel, piney, fresh grassy-hoppy flavours. Medium carbonation. Very nice (but I have a predisposition for Ambers)

Bottle. Acetone, gunpowder light roast. Dark brown, creamy brown. Cocoa powder, strong and pleasant coffee flavor. Medium body, mellow, dry. Bizarre disconnect.

Hazy brown with little beige head. Aroma is fresh coffee beans, some phenolic grapes, nothing much else. Taste is coffee bitterness, some nutty sweetness, Finish of more coffee and nuts. Not bad. I ususally hate coffee, but this one did it right.

Bottle. Dark Amber, golden head. Onion nose, light medium body, mellow. A bit dust and veggies. Needs more birds.

Hazy light brown with little white head. Aroma is papaya, lychee, brown sugar, some grapes, butter. Taste is a pleasant caramel sweetness, some wood, a slightly spicy bitterness. Good finish of more bitterness. Nice.
