33cl bottle @ home, bottled 1 September 2016. Clear dark brown color, with a reddish hue. Big light beige head, slowly receding to a thin layer that retains. Aroma’s: nutty and toasted at first, making way for big coffee roast, mocha, along with dark malts and some red fruit retronasal. Flavor is moderate sweet, with lots of roast, some bitterness. Body is light to medium. Long finish, with lots of roast, coffee, light bitterness. I’m not usually a fan of brown ales, but the coffee in this one makes it an absolute treat.

Bottle at De Goudse Eend, Gouda, Netherlands, Saturday 24th October 2016 Pours mid amber, slight haze with a white filmy head. Caramel on the tongue, a bitterness on the roof of the mouth, softness carbonation, bitterness persists, much like the other Bird brewery this does not carry much sweetness, pretty good. Bottle at De Goudse Eend, Gouda, Netherlands, Saturday 24th October 2016 Pours clear amber with a white lacy head. Clean, it’s a refreshing beer, with more than a nod to a more modern UK bitter than a session IPA, hops leave a bitter linger, fruity, pleasant, like it. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4

Bottle at home. Slightly hazy chestnut brown with creme head. Nose of roasted coffee and hops, a good start! Sweet roasted malts, mocha, milkchocolate, coffee, hazlenut, macadamia, creme brûlée, toffee, some hidden citrus fruitiness, quite hoppy (target hop?). Medium sweet and bitter. Medium body, soft but lively carbonation. Nice soft mouthfeel. Bittersweet mocha finish. Very nice.
