We don’t always brew DIPAs….we’d like to, but we don’t. So when we do it’s a pretty fun occasion. This riff is an amped up version of our ever popular North East IPA, with more of everything we throw into it. It’s DIPA szn and the forecast is hazy, so don’t sleep on this one.

Can that pours a slight hazed amber-pink colour with a white-pinkish head, decent stay and leaving a little dirt on top of the brew. Berry aromas with the refreshing watery watermelon and sourness from the limes. The taste shows some mild puckering from the sour notes, but the watermelon calms the excess. The berries and lime blend things very well. Nothing overpowering, just right and refreshing.

Malty nose with some nice lemon notes. Clean golden colour with a frothy white cap, good stay and some thick foamy lacing. The mouthfeel has a decent dryness in the finish, which is different for a radler, but nice. Gets hazier as it pours, but not full. The malt beer side is always felt. Not the juiciest of this style, but still a nice refreshing one.

Pours a hazy golden colour with a little amber hue. The head is bubbly, off-white, average lasting and has minimal lacing, with some tiny bubbles around the brew. Citrus nose with orange juice, lemon zest and hints of grassiness, pineapples. Juicy mouthfeel, with a dryish finish. Citrus peel flavours with a tad spiciness, zing.

Can that pours a lightly hazy, light-golden colour with a big frothy white head, good retention and some nice foamy lacing streaks. Lots going on in the aromas, starting with the sweeter wheat, then nice spices and berry notes. The taste has good sweetness, spiciness, all with the balance of hops in the finish. Decent dryness to cut the richness. A pretty interesting witbier with a nice blend of orange and coriander, and other notes.

Hazy-cloudy golden colour with a creamy-frothy warm cap, good retention and leaves creamy-foamy lacing. Citrus aromas with oranges and hints of tropical fruits. The taste is citrusy with the juice and zest, creating some decent dry and slight tarty finish. It is fairly bitter-dry, but still juicy balanced.

Hazed bright yellow colour with a frothy-bubbly white cap, average stay and some small bubbles doing the contour. The sour nose is very well-balanced with lots of coconut with the other two fruits in the background. The sourness really stands out in the flavours, but again, nicely blended with the fruits and coconut. All well-brewed here as a fruity, nutty sour ale.

Golden colour, fairly clean (but betting hazy as it pours). A warm frothy-foamy head, good retention and some nice creamy-foamy lacing. Good hops in the nose for a lager giving some fruity, citrusy notes over the grassiness. The taste shows bitterness over the sweet malt base, cutting the richness. Alcoholic and bitter warming. Good dryness to go down easily. Not a bad stronger lager with hops.

Aromas of citrus, blended with cilantro herbal garden freshness, mineral notes and hints of spiciness. Hazy, cloudy golden colour with amber hues. The head is frothy, off-white, average retention and some light lace. Orange juice base in the flavours with a sharper, spicy finish from the hops. Wet mouthfeel with just enough dryness in the finish. Some tangy notes continue on the tongue. It like smooth start, and hoppy HBC lab hops in the end. Still pretty good.

Golden-amber colour, hazy with an off-white cap that stays a bit, leaving a ring of small, tiny bubbles. Lots of citrus in the nose with the Citra and Simcoe. Orange, tangerine flavours. A nice mild blended finish with the citrusy hops dryness, hoppiness and hints of spiciness. Very juicy and not offensive in any direction. Quite an easy-drinking NEIPA.
