Description
With a foundation in homebrewing in 1992, Paul Kavulak set about to experiment within a hobby that would prove both entertaining and, at times, refreshing. Over a period of roughly 13 years, and with the able assistance of his wife Kim, this activity led to the opening of the Nebraska Brewing Company’s brewpub in Shadow Lake Towne Center in Papillion, Nebraska, on November 17, 2007. A new production brewery and taproom were opened in January of 2014. Located on the south side of the Omaha Metro, but still a large part of the Omaha Craft Beer scene.

Can from Beergium. Grainy malty aroma with straw, citrussy hoppy notes, bit soapy and sugary. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet and only slightly bitter. Body is medium. Drinkable, brings some nice grains, but then there’s sweetness and soapy notes. Could be better.

From tap at Rotolo's Pizzeria, Shreveport. Aroma is fruity hops with citrus, grapefruit, orange, some grass, light pine and malt, and a fairly subtle weedy oniony touch. Flavour is mildly sweetish and medium bitter. Body is medium. Well-hopped IPA leaning mildly towards NE, it's pretty good.

Can from Beergium. Aroma is firmly roasted malt with coffee, dark chocolate, ash, some liquorice, and a little dark fruit. Flavour is rather bitter and roasty with mild to medium sweetness. Body is medium. Heavily bitter roasty Stout, lacks the finesse of the exemplary ones, this is almost harsh. That being said, I like roast and coffee and this has plenty of both.
