Bottle at Strandpaviljoen Buiten, zwarte pad, Scheveningen. Black with offwhite head. Dark roasted dark malts, chocolate, coffee, licorice, charcoal. Moderate sweet and bitter. Medium body and soft carbonation. Very soft velvety feel. Decent stuff! Feels like a deep roasted stout more than a german schwartz.

33 cl. bottle @ home, gift from my family. Clear dark amber with a thin off-white head. Caramel aroma with some dried fruits. Taste is sweet with a hint of alcohol burn. Standard quad with some rough edges.

Bottle at home. Clear golden with big cream colored head. Ginger, milky grains, dank hops, hay, white bread, soft dry malts, lime peel. Under medium sweet and over medium bitter. Medium bodied with a bit fizzy carbonation. The hops and ginger clash a bit here, but overall it’s drinkeable enough.

33 cl. bottle shared with de Molen Hopcrew @ de Molen Hopveld, Epe. Very dark brown with an off-white head. Aroma of dark roasted malts and also some smoked malts but one of the brewers insisted they didn’t used those. Also some oak in the nose. Taste is medium bitter with some earthiness due to the malts and the oak. A pleasant surprise.
