(draught) Amber, clear, good yellowish creamy head. Very bready and malty nose. Bready again in the taste, malts, corn flakes but balanced by a bitter tinge of hopbitterness, without the hoparoma or aggressive bitterness. Well bodied. Nice, German-true beer. Spot on for "Brotzeit".

Slightly hazy orange colour with a very thick white head. Smells of malt, lemons, yeast and a bit of some low a.a. hops. Medium-bodied; Strong flavour, primarily malt and a metallic twang, but fairly nice. Aftertaste subtle: a small showing of some sweetness as well as a bit of hops. Not a bad beer, strong flavours, just not the most complex. I bought this twelve ounce bottle from Total Wine in Chantilly, Virginia and sampled it on 19-September-2003.

Yup, this is a pretty standard, run-of-the-mill example of the style - nothing really jumps out at me besides the mildly acidic/metallic quality in the flavor and finish that sort of tastes like I'm sucking on pennies - that is not enjoyable - this is somewhat quenching, but that one bad quality really ruins this one for me.

This is a decent dark lager - quite a lot of roastiness in the aroma and flavor - actually, the aroma and flavor are almost exactly the same - nutty, slightly sweet, with some hops arriving late - finish is pretty watery - a decent effort, but don't go looking for this one.

Bottled. Pale amber ith nearly no head. Lightly acidic aroma. Medium dry with clean maltiness. Very neutral. Low bitterness. Not much here...

Bottled. Nut brown. Roasty with big crystal malt character. Very aromatic. Clean, hard mouthfeel, low bitterness. Very American in style.

Bottled. Deep golden with rich head. Grassy nose. Dry and very bready. Very clean malt profile, and some crystal malt reveals it's American origin. Long grassy, really bitter finish. A good, credible pils, but lacks the crispness of the top Franconian pilseners, and the aromatic, oily butterscotchyness of the finest Czech examples.

Slightly hazy golden yellow colour, with a slight white head. Smells of yeast, wheat and cloves. Some bananas and other spices creep in to the aroma late on though. Spicey, yeastie taste which leaves a nice touch on the palate after a few sips. The cloves and bananas are definately noticeable, especially on the palate. A pretty good beer which is spot on for the style, even though it's made right here in America! I bought this twelve ounce bottle at Total Wine in Manassas, Virginia.

Copper colour. Rich saaz vs. caramel nose. Slightly fruity flavours. Long, balanced bitterness. One of the more authentic imitations of a Czech pilsner (not Urquell or Budvar either, but it it reminiscent of some of the lesser-known brands).

Barely a orange tint to a golden body. The aroma of a normal pilsner, with absolutely nothing arising from the beer. Head fades very very fast, it was completely gone before I could take a sip. Medium bodied with a definate malty taste. Not much else, other than a malty aftertaste as well. Not a complex beer at all. Take one sip, thats all you get to savor. Not even worth a taste.
