Can @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, May '19. Many thanks Jeremy for bringing this big old can back from your travels. Pours deep ruby, good tan head. Aroma brings coffee, grainy dark malt.. taste presents a good prominent coffee character, dark grainy malt, light chocolate sweetness. A pretty good breakfast stout I have to say.

26th May 2019, Shrewsbury Beer Share Meeting in Chez Sophie; five of us. I brought this back from California to share; US Pint can, canned on 28th Jan 2019. Dark pour, plenty of coffee notes in both the nose and taste, some chocolate aromas and flavours also; nice.

A deep dark stout with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet chocolate malt with loads of coffee, light peated notes. In mouth, sweet chocolate malt with dark fruits, molasses, light coffee, very nice. On tap at DLD 2019

This beer pours brownish-black with a medium thick tan head that diminishes gradually to a film. Sticky patches of lace on the glass. Aroma of roast coffee, malt and chocolate. Medium to full body with flavors of roasted coffee, smoked malt and cocoa. The finish is roasty with a coffee aftertaste. Good beer all around.

Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee and caramel. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long chocolate, coffee and roasted finish. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Lots of coffee, modestly sweet, nice roasted malt character but felt it was a bit unrefined and flavors didn’t meld as well as expected. I had this years ago and I was really impressed. Now it’s just ok.

Keg at Beaverex '18 Day II, 08/09/18. Black with a well presented tan head. Nose is chocolate, dark malts, fruit rinds, hint of pine. Taste comprises chocolate, charr, mellow roast, dried fruits, toffee, raisins. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Decent.
