Bottle at Cafe Roemer, Haarlem. Poured a murky dark broken with a frothy light tan head and some bubbles. The aroma is earthy yeast and roasted malt. The flavour is medium to light sweet, light bitter with a light watery roasted malt, caramel, hop bitter palate and a short bitter finish. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation. Doesn’t really inspire me.

Spicy blond beer, brewed with a traditional herb called kuit. Gives the beer a grassy and a bit dusty taste. Decent.

Bottle, De Molen Store. Shared with Slothez, Superbowl session. Deep dark brown pour with a small tan head. Roasty nose with traces of dark choc and coffee. Flavour ran along similar lines with a little dark fruit leading to a dryish medium bitter finish. Not the fullest or most robust Imperial Stout on the block but its perfectly drinkable stuff.

Bottle sample at NHBF’14. Hazy golden yellow colour, white head. Aroma of oat, soap, citrus, yeast. Flavour is yeasty, oats, wheat, soap, citrus, decent dry bitter finish. Light-bodied. Nice enough beer.

On tap at NHBF’14, Chinook. Hazy golden amber colour, white head. Aroma of leafy hops, some tea, quite English, all a bit muted. Flavour is light sweet, plastic, yeast, light hoppy, a bit herbal, light citrus, toast. Light to medium-bodied. Bland.

Sampled at the Noord-Hollands Bierfestival. Pours hazy amber brown with a big cream head. Aroma of fruit, light citrus and caramel. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation.

33 bottle @home (tht 03/2015). Red-brown color, hazy/cloudy. Off white head. Aroma’s: caramel, toasted malts, hops. Retronasal there’s caramel, malty sweetness, fruit, hoppy acidity. Flavor is moderate bitter with some acidity and a malty sweet backbone. Medium bodied. Flavor lingers. Could have used a bit more bitterness (or was the bottle already too old?)

Bottled @ Cafe Maria, medium sample. Cloudy pale yellow color, short frothy head. Aroma of grainy oats, some wheat, bit citrussy, strawberry, slight funky yeasty notes, bit spicy. Slight sweet and slight bitter, slight sourish. Like a bit funky belgian white with grainy notes from the oat. Interesting how this develops.
