Can from Carrefour. Crystal clear golde. With big white head. Peach, sweet malts, orange blossom, earthy, CO2, paper. Medium sweet, very light bitter. Light bldied with quite some carbonation. Oak but tastes a bit like chemical peach candy.

Bière bue au Kastelhoff à Cassel. Robe jaune paille limpide, petite mousse blanche qui tient correctement avant de laisser une légère dentelle. Nez sur le malt pâle et les céréales, avec une pointe de banane, quelques notes d'agrumes, un léger côté moût et une touche herbacée. Attaque douce et maltée, les céréales dominent, accompagnées d'un peu de banane et d'agrumes. Corps léger, texture assez aqueuse, carbonation correcte. Finale courte, légèrement fruitée, douce-amère et très rafraîchissante. Une blonde sans alcool simple mais réussie, parfaite pour retrouver les sensations d'une bière belge en accompagnement d'un repas.

Bottle, 10%. Good refreshing caramelly and grassy hop aroma. Almost clear dark golden colour. Sparkling. Good stable rocky white head. The flavour is sweetish with a touch of hay and some alcohol. Ok balanced, but ends on a peppery note. Could have done with a little less alcohol, but still a decent beer.

Pours cloudy golden color with two fingers of frothy white head, excellent retention. Fruity, malty and spicy aroma. Fruity, banana, pear, citrus and cloves, light caramel, spicy yeasty flavor. Balanced higher bitterness. Medium-full body, medium carbonation, strong, light alcohol warmth and a dry finish.

A small bottle purchased online from Beers of Europe while home on holiday, and drunk at my place here in Taipei. Aroma: very promising, muted sourness, a hint of cherry. Appearance: opaque mulligatawny soup, pours out a big head which dissipates to nothing very rapidly. Palate: medium-bodied and very tart, fizzy carbonation; the finish is very acidic, with a yeasty aftertaste. Taste: this one is very sour. There is some blather on the neck label about ‘...stone fruit, cocoa…’ etc. but I don’t buy it; cherry flavour fighting to break through. The yeasty flavour is a nice complement to the sourness, and I think I would find it more palatable if the carbonation was less lively.

Aus der Flasche (bbe 28.09.2024) im 2026-06 getrunken. Diese dunkelbraune Belgier mit kräftiger, beiger Schaumbildung zeigt deutlich seinen malzigen Charakter. Im Antrunk ist er leicht bitter, die mich aber statt einer Hopfbenbitterkeit fast schon einer Bitterkeit durch Fasslagerungen erinnert. Das Bier ist wunderbar durchgereift und macht Spaß im Glas.
