Cask @ Moon Under Water, Manchester. Deep amber with a creamy head. Has a tropical fruit nose with a heavy amount of pineapple. There’s some in its taste alongside a more dominant grainy biscuit flavour.

4th July 2015: cask pint in the Briar Rose (a Wetherspoons in Birmingham). Brown with a red hint, the head off-white and lasting. I thought I could detect red berries in the nose and taste within this deep, earthy and malty blend of a beer. Very drinkable.

Murky brown with a bubbly / frothy off-white head. Pretty one-dimensional dark mild, extremely mild with not a great deal going on at all - sweet, sugary malt with a sprinkling of dark fruits.

Bottle 500ml (AbM)
Clear deep amber color, smal beige head. Quite light nose: light nutty maltyness and fruits. Light to medium-bodied. Caramel, nutty maltyness, some fruity notes. Quite low-key flavor profile. Some spicey bitterness in the aftertaste.

7th May 2015
Almost clear deep red - amber beer, a few pale tan bubbles do not form a head. Palate is light and semi dry. Modest fine carbonation. Tangy fruits - dark fruits and dried fruits and a touch of livening lemon. Traces of tea and spice. Light semi dry finish. Bitterish linger. Quite liked this, although more ESB than Sweet Stout.
