On tap at The Publick House, pours a cloudy orange with a medium white head. Aroma has plenty of Belgian yeast expression, light esters, and dry doughy malt. Flavour has a nice Belgian yeast expression, with light spiciness and doughy malt. Nice to have a competent Belgian beer in the US and A. Doughy, fairly dry finish. Good stuff.

Bottle at Hops, Crewe. Pours a dark chocolate with a small scummy cream head. The aroma is mainly malts and raisins with traces of honey, yeast and bananas. In the mouth it is quite sweet but with underlying sharpness. Flavour initially is dried fruit, malts, toffee and yeast. But lots more come through later with pears, raspberries and hints of herbs, apples and spices. Some fruitiness in the dry finish. This is rather nice.

Bottle, 2024 vintage. Dark fruit aroma with notes of apple, caramel, roasted malt, toffee and spicy yeast. Pours chestnut brown with a finger of mocha brown head that has excellent retention and good lacing. Starts with roasted malt, dark fruit and caramel flavors as well as having a rich, full body and smooth mouthfeel. Finishes quite smooth with toffee, apple and spicy yeast flavors. Excellent.
