2005 750ml bottle found in "1920" restaurant. Paid a bit more but it was definetly worth it ! Red/brownish color with medium head. Red,black fruit and spices. Brown sugar. Pretty complex. An excellent brew. It would get even higher marks if it was just a tiny bit less sweet.

Murky red with fine white head. Fine lacings on the side of the glass. Aroma and taste of rasperry. Sweetness from fruits. Medium live carbonation. Soft texture. Finish is a well balanced combination between sweetness & sourness. Pleasant & easy to drink! Great fruit beer from Het Anker!

Bottle. Color is golden, with a nice big head with excellent duration. Aroma is fruit and malt. Light malt flavor, some light hints of fruit, with some fruity showing through.

Bottle. Clear deep brown color with thin beige head. Anis, grapefruits, alcohol and caramel aroma. Taste of caramel, toffee, alcohol, corn syrup. A nice sweetness in the flavor is followed by hops, spices and some alcohol.

[Bottled, thanks oh6gdx] Cloudy nut brown. Strong aniseed aroma. Sweet and very spicy. Delightful soft, deep malt character with plenty of caramel and cloves. Interesting and extremely malty beer, but perhaps overy spicy. Licorice and aniseed overpowers the malt flavour.

Dark ruby, big, creamy off-white head. Intense aroma of spices and licorice - or is it just a whole lot of anise? I don’t know why I haven’t rated it during the winter, but stored through the summer (and quite some heat - but tonight was a worthy occasion). By now, it’s a bit one dimensional in all its anise glory. Fresh rating: Yes, it’s supposed to have that much anise...

Bottle. BB nov. 2006. Creamy lightbrown excellent mostly lasting head. Dark amber colour. Week malty aroma. Nice spicey flavor but way too alcoholic. Average finish and oily palate.

Brown bottle, 750 ml, 2005 vintage; eye: reddish brown with burgundy reflections, nice compact beige head that reminds of cappuccino cream, really nice effervescence similar to small champagne bubbles, lacing; nose: madera, vinous, tobacco, dark small berries, vanilla, caramel, spices, coriander, pepper; mouth: caramel, malt, butterscotch, dark small berrie, finale all in butterscotch with a hint of pepper (alcohol), quite sweet, really light bitterness, medium body, creamy texture, not much carbonation; overall: really good but a bit disappointing when compared to its nose FRANÇAIS Bouteille brune, 750 ml, 2205; oeil : brun rouge avec des reflets bourgognes, belle mousse beige compacte qui rappelle la mousse de cappuccino, très belle effervescence semblable à de petites bulles de champagne, dentelle; nez : madère, liquoreux, tabac, petits fruits foncés, vanille, caramel, épices, coriandre, poivre; bouche : caramel, malt, butterscotch, petits fruits foncés, finale tout en butterscotch avec une pointe de poivre (alcool), moyennement sucrée, très légère amertume, corps plein, texture crémeuse, peu carbonatée; en résumé : bien bonne mais un peu désappointante par rapport à son nez
