2025 can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a deep brown to black with a finger of brown head that dissipates. Lots of molasses, muscavado sugar, dark chocolate and roasted malt aromas on the nose. Similar notes on the palate but as it warms the cinnamon starts to come out. Not overly done, nice and balanced. Great imperial stout with cinnamon accents.

There is a lot going on here. Maple, cinnamon, biscuit, the slightest bit of heat. It’s good but just a little too busy I think.

Clear, bright amber brown color with a small brown head; aroma of cinnamon, nutmeg, caramel; smooth palate; balanced flavor with a long, light bitter finish

LCI. Thanks to the Kidd, well-cellared 11yo version of this. Not dead yet (suppose it’s been more than 3 days). Old-school. Boozy roast coffee, some dried fruit without too much sweetness.

From Beer Drop, dating off the edge of the can.

Pours pitch black over a finger of tan foam, retention and lacing are excellent.

Smell is coffee, roasted malt, dark chocolate and vanilla.

The taste is coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla, roasted malt, quite bitter at times but not without some mild sweetness. And not without some alcohol presence.

Full bodied, I would drink this again.

Tap at Mig & Ølsnedkeren at Blåbær release event 23/10/2025 16:05 Dense fruity and juicy with layers of apricot and tangerine, peach flesh, mango, nibbling hop spice, grass, pine, some passionfruit, citrus peel, creamy thick sweet malty backbone, assertive hoppy finish.

Can at home. Have had an evil twin brew in awhile. Milky yellow orange pour and minimal head. Nose is sweet pie filling and spice. Tastes of meringue, nutmeg, cinnamon, some pumpkin pie filling. Not very ipa like. Creamy body. Sweet finish lingering spice.

Bomber, 2016 vintage. Coffee aroma with notes of roasted malt, dark chocolate, licorice and molasses. Pours deep brown with a large mocha brown head that has excellent retention and lacing. Starts with roasted malt, licorice and dark chocolate flavors as well as having a light body and smooth mouthfeel. Finishes smooth with coffee and molasses flavors. Still decent after all this time, but a very light on body.
