Squawk Brewing Co was founded in Manchester in 2013. At its heart is a love of beer, the people that drink it and the people that make it.

Since the early days we’ve been brewing progressive, hop-forward beers with traditional roots. We’ve a passion for quality, experimentation and ingredients. Our principles were created around our shared ideas of ethical business, sustainability and community.

Gravity cask at the Real Ale Classroom. Pours golden brown, a little hazy and flat. Woody and almost funky smell, earthy and grassy notes, light bitterness herbs. Tastes fairly bitter with some subtle toffee sweetness. Bitter and slightly astringent finish. Flat and slightly thin body. Lots of promise but ultimately isn't as engaging as I thought it'd be. Still pretty nice though.

Tight foamy punk hued head in a vivid pale red rose coloured body. Big aroma of raspberry. Medium bodied, smooth & foamy on the tongue with clean dry back. Raspberry, chalky, malt & sour tastes with a bitter tart finish. Tastes like a Raspberry Mambo from the '70s

Cask at Monty's. Pours lightly hazed golden with a thin white head. Aromas of light citrus, bready malt. Taste is more of the same. Thin finish.

Cask gravity at KESR beer festival 2022. Pale gold hazy small white head. its OK a light citrusy pale ale. not much malt.

Dark brown with thin head. Aroma is nicely boozy with sweet Bourbon. Quite woody too. Sweet Bourbon mixed with dark roasted malts. A bit thin.

Cask @ Port Street Beer House, Manchester. Very dark amber with a creamy off-white head. Has bushy dark malts in both aroma and taste.

Keg @ Cafe Beermoth, Manchester. Dark brown with a small off-white head. It is smooth with a nutty roasted aroma and there’s a hint of spice in its roasted malts.
