Description

Microbrewery from Ronse, in the heart of the Flemish Ardennes. The two basic beers have been brewed at De Graal (Brakel) since 2014; the other beers in the own brewery (limited editions, special editions, beers with hops from the own hop field, 75 cls)

Bottle. Hazy golden color with white head. Aroma is juicy malts, tropical fruits. Taste is the same. Medium carbonation. Okay.

Sampled @ Zythos Bier Festival 2017. Geruch ist mild hopfig, getreidig, grasig. Geschmack ist süß malzig, mild hopfig, getreidig.

At Zythos 2017. Pours black. Aroma is freshly roasted coffee, liquorice, dark chocolate. Body is medium and very sweet, chocolate, caramel, toffee. Lively carbonation. Palate lingers on sweetened coffee. Good!

Dunkler kaffeeartiger Beginn. Milde Noten von Schokolade, wenig hefig, Espresso, minimal bitter. Spritzig, etwas würzig, zum Ende alkoholisch. 7/8/7/9//8

14/IV/17 - 75cl bottle @ home - BB: 18/IX/21, bottled: 18/IX/16 (2017-444) Thanks to Erwin for sharing the bottle!

Clear dark red brown beer, big creamy beige head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very floral, yeast, fruity touch, caramel, sweet impression, quite some chocolate. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: bit sweet start, ripe banana, some caramel, alcohol. Aftertaste: soft bitterness, caramel, some chocolate, some alcohol, very soft roast, yeast, bit floral. Decent beer, not getting much oak though...

Bottle @ the brewery. Hazy golden colour, white foam. Nose of banana, spices, citrus. Light sweet with bitter aftertaste, some alcohol in the finish. Nice tripel.

Sample @ the brewery. Hazy golden colour, white foam. Fruity nose: citrus, stone fruit. Light bitterness. Some spices. Bit sourness in the aftertaste. Refreshing beer. Good.

Sample @ the brewery. Dark brown/black colour, creamy beige foam. Nose of roasted malts, lots of coffee, some caramel sweetness, light tart hint from the coffee. Taste is bitter and roasty, light sweet. Well balanced. Nice Belgian imperial Stout!
