F: huge, white, long lasting. C: pale gold, hazy. A: malty, light herbal/hoppy, bit caramel, some fruity esters, bit dough, yeasty. T: malty, light caramel, fruity, bit bready, light grassy, not much from hoppy taste, peach, bit spicy, medium to full body, medium carbonation, good balanced and enjoyed but still from Fresh Hop in the name I would expect more hoppy character and for 8,5% it is more BSA or even Tripel than Belgian ale, Lotnr 1713 so I suppose this is another batch #2, if again 65 bottles it is quite rare, bottled 10/17, BB: 10/19, 8,5% ABV, 75cl bottle from Winters Bier Festival 2017 in Waregem.

At Winter Beer Fest 2017, Waregem. Shared with Anke!
Hazy dark amber/brown with a lasting, frothy, off-white head. Aroma of wood, caramel, sour cherry, hint of vinegar (not overly so as in an 'Oud Bruin'), hops & yeast. It tastes medium fruity sweet and light sour, ending light hoppy bitter with a slightly dry finish. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. Nice and complex, indeed perfect for wintertime, I'd say it's just a bit more pleasing than their Café Noir...

At Winter Beer Fest 2017, Waregem. Shared with Anke!
Cloudy black with a big, foamy beige head. Aroma of coffee roast & powder, mocha, some licorice, hint of iron, caramel, hops, barley & (roasted) malt. It tastes light to medium caramel-like sweet, quickly becoming medium roasted bitter; toasty, slightly alcoholic finish. Full (bordering on medium) body, slick (not yet oily) texture, fizzy carbonation (a tad too much). All in all, a welcoming addition to the Belgian beer landscape.
