Medium, rather dense if fleeting off-white head over clear foxy-orange beer, finely carbonated. Rather sweetish nose, spicy & yeasty. White candi sugar, sweet grains, orange(peel). Bitterish-sweet, again quite reminiscent of preserved orangepeel; candi sugar. Again more than a tad spicy, finish is even a tad peppery. Well-carbonated, medium bodied, mild alcoholwarming. Not bad... but a tad boring...

23/12/2019 - tasting glass from a 33cl bottle @Keun Proeflokaal. Had an aged version @ home which wasn't great, but this one was very niceley aged. 14/10/2016 @home - 33cl bottle from the brewery. Thick dark brown with dark tanned head, leaving an nice lacing at the sides of the glass. Nose is roast, mocha, some chocolate, alcohol. Taste is first some roast, mocha, some chocolate when colder, a bit of vanilla I would swear, on warming it becomes a tad sweeter and boozy. and the roast is softer, nice aftertaste, sticking into your mouth. very nice.
