Description
Life's too short for boring, middle of the road beers. Craft Brewery Kees! stands for tasty, fruity, hoppy flavours and strong dark ales, but there'll always be that 'twist' . That special 'something' that make his beers stand out.
Owner and brewer Kees Bubberman started his brewing career in 2007 at Emelisse, a small regional brewery in Kamperland, Zeeland. Within a couple of years Emelisse became a household name among craft breweries worldwide, thanks to the by British and American beer styles inspired ales, IPA's, strong porters, stouts that Kees Bubberman brewed. Never afraid of trying something new and relying on his experience as a restaurant chef he created more than 30 new beers, including an IPA with Earl Grey tea, barrel aged porters en stouts and strong porters and stouts with coffee. Kees was ahead of his time with experimental flavours like these.
In 2014 Kees Bubberman decided to start his own brewery in his hometown Middelburg. Thankful for the opportunities Emelisse gave him, he felt that it was time to go his own way. Brewery Kees! started in January 2015 and within a year his delicious IPA's, strong porters, Russian Imperial stouts and barrel aged barley wines, porters en stouts found their way in the (beer-)world.
Kees keeps on creating new beers and searching for new tastes, sometimes following and sometimes setting trends.

Keg at GBBF 2015. It pours cloudy gold with a thick white head. The nose is soft, fresh, juicy, grassy, pine needles, tropical fruit surprise, fresh citrus juice and a hint of microchips. The taste is bitter, toasty, grainy, grapefruit peel, pine needles, earthy, toasty, grapefruit, fennel, brioche and spice with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate, velvety carbonation. Mighty decent.

33cl Bottle from Vonk. Hazy deep golden colour, white head. Aroma of Sorachi Ace, bubblegum, vanilla, toasted coconut, oak, light fruity. Flavour is quite bitter, grapefruit peel, grapefruit, vanilla, coconut, bitter finish. Light bodied. Weird combination with the SA hops, but it grew on me.

bottle at home. Hazy light brown with creamy off-white head. Light toasted malts, caramel, chestnuts, gingerbread, cookies. Then some nice fruity hops with a touch of lemon. Light sweet and light bitter. Almost medium bodied with creamy carbonation. I can’t bvelieve this is just 3.5% ABV. Very nice beer.

Keg at GBBF 2015. Black beer. Dry as hell quite strong. Rather likeable. Tarry. Dark chocolate. Bit harsh strong dark beer. Good though.

Original rate: Bottle from het Biermoment, large sample. Dark color, short frothy brown lacing. Aroma of mocha, roast, coffee, vanilla, molasses, slight licorice. Sorachi ace and stouts is an absolute winner for me, love that! Medium bitter of both malt and hop, slight alcoholic, dark chcolate, bit sweet vanilla and melon. Not perfectly balanced yet, but very nice. Rerate: geting better and better. Smooth thick vanilla roasty marshmallow coconut shake this is becoming. Upping the score. Another rerate: Im buying this stuff as my go to RIS whenever I feel like and it simply never disappoints. Everytime its just absolutely amazing. Well worthy of a personal top10 record in my book. Upping it to that perfect 5.0.
