330ml can. Hazy, yellow-ish, dark golden colour with average to huge, firm, frothy to creamy, beaten eggwhite-like, moderately lasting and lacing, white head. Wheaty malty, (yeasty) spicy and slightly citrusy fruity aroma, a touch of spelt, coriander, clove, whiffs of orange peel; overall more Hefeweizen-like than Wit typical. Taste is minimally bready, wheaty malty, slightly citrusy fruity, minimally spicy, hints of crisp bread, some lemon, and orange, orange peel, a touch of coriander. Slightly creamy, watery texture, slightly dry palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Not that refreshing since the somehow massive, bready wheat cushions the fruitiness; nice, as far as fruitiness and spiciness find their way through - OK.

Over 4 months old. Pours a hazy golden colour and a dense white head with a small layer that stays for a while. Aroma's of soft fruit, (slightly old) hops, a bit of bitterness. Retronasal follows this mostly. Flavour is bitter and moderate sweet. Light medium bodied. Quite high, prickly carbonation. Finishes with firm bitterness.

Can 33cl. @home poured into a tasting glass. Opaque amberbrown colour, small frothy tan head, half-way lasting, good lacing. Aroma sweet and roasted malts, caramel, rye, some dark fruits, liquorice. Smooth taste, above medium sweet and light bitter, malty, roast, rye, caramel, liquorice. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation, smooth sweetbitter aftertaste, roast and liquorice notes, tasty and easy to drink, nice.

(Draught at Gollem Craft Beer, Amsterdam, 25 Aug 2022) Hazy golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, sourish nose with citrus, peaches and tropical fruit. Fruity, tart taste with notes of citrus, pineapple, passion-fruit, peaches, grass and a dry and tart finish with low bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Tart, tasty and refreshing. Nice one.

Blik 1/24 uit de adventskalender van Beer in a Box, thuis geprobeerd. Het is een diep donkerbruin tot zwart bier met een volle bruine schuimkraag. Het heeft een zoete chocoladegeur. De smaak is vol, zoet, chocolade achtig met een snufje zout.

Canned 4 months ago. Pours almost clear golden, with a frothy white head. Aroma's of mainly fruit, with light (old) hoppiness. Flavour is fruity, light sweet. Light bodied. Hardly any bitterness (anymore?).

0.33 l can from 'Drinks & Gifts', best before March 2024. Clear, very dark ruby with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Intensely sweetish-malty, gently fruity and slightly boozy aroma of molasses, raisins, prunes, dates, calvados and vanilla. Fairly sweet, malty, moderately bitter, slightly fruity taste of molasses, prunes, raisins, vanilla, calvados, some dates and light oak, followed by a long, moderately bitter, fairly boozy finish. Full body, smooth and slightly oily mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. Very tasty beer, love the calvados flavours in here. It's a little spoiled by the noticeable booze, unfortunately, but it's still fairly enjoyable. Great for sipping slowly in late autumn.
