Can. Barrel and Anvil actually. Fully murked up orange gold. Slim dense sticky lasting white foam. Nose has some oaty wheaty notes first up. Hops are slightly peppery and pretty dank. Overripe citrus. Taste is fairly sweet and a tad milky. Some dank bitterness. Drinks easy at 6.2. Lingering bitterness to finish. Neepsend have put some bangers out lately but this isn’t one of them.

Can. Dram Shop. Hazed yellow gold. Dense lasting sticky thin white foam. Looks good. Nose has soft peach. Nice ripe white grape off the Galaxy. Ripe orange and something like ripe strawberry in there too. Light dry malt backdrop. Taste is pleasantly bitter throughout. Feels clean fresh and zippy. Semi dry finish with more of the clean bitterness. Great stuff. Very smashable.

Hand-pulled half-pint in the Station Hotel on 9th July 2026. Light golden body wispy white head. Citrus fruit nose and taste fairy dry finish.

Can. Dram Shop. Just about clear fairly deep gold. Slim but super sticky lacing lasting white foam. Looks the business. Nose has sticky malt loaf grain. Hops are herbal, sappy, almost minty and eucalyptus like. Bit dank and a bit sweaty. Definitely out of the ordinary and I think I’m liking it. Taste has plenty of sweetness with a fair punchy resinous bitterness. Lots of body. Bit sticky. Bit punchy. Big bitterness to finish. Wow. Wasn’t expecting that. Bold hoppy unusual super easy drinking sappy old school IPA. Boss.

Can. Dram Shop. Hazed glowing orange gold. Fairly thick bubbly lasting white foam. Looks good. Nose has peach nectarine and ripe yellow melon. Very fruity and bubblegum like, then I saw it’s Krush in here and there you go. Light slight oaty character. Taste is light dry with some sweetness and a decent lean bitterness. Drinks easy and clean. Light dry light bitter finish. Good gear especially on a day way too hot for comfort.

Can. Dram Shop. Hazy pale straw gold. Decent frothy white head. Nose has ripe citrus. Yellow melon. Some peachy notes. Whisper of ripe strawberry. Very fruity and fresh. Light malts. Taste has some sweetness but is mostly light dry with a decent hit of citrus bitterness. Very clean and easy drinking. Moderate lasting bitter finish. Nice one. Vibrant and clean.

Hazy pale gold with a frothy white head and a fabulous fruity aroma, mango and satsuma I reckon. Soft and smooth, light bodied with slightly tart fruity notes, mellow bitterness, a touch of pine and a dry bitterish finish.

Keg at the Alder, Sheffield. Light gold, hazy with a good-sized white head. Cracked wheat, apricot, grapefruit, melon on the nose. Taste is sweet at first, full of stone fruit, then settling down to a crisp bitter finish. Light body with medium carbonation. A treat to find a new brewery, and this is a good one.

Handpull cask at the Wellington, Sheffield. Amber and clear after a quick settle. A thick buff-coloured head. Sticky malt, a slight astringency in the aroma. Taste has a decent little bitterness to it which resorts in the finish. Light body with a little carbonation. Verdict: a very basic bitter from a very good outfit. Clean and refreshing.

Handpull cask at the Wellington, Sheffield. Dark brown, a little translucent with a thick tan head. Aroma: gentle chocolate malts, muscovado sugar, hints of liquorice and ash. Sweet taste, lots more chocolate. The sugary taste is slightly balanced by a hoppy bitterness but this definitely remains a sweet beer. A soupçon of carbonation. Glorious.
