26/8/2021. Cask at the 2021 East Anglian Beer Festival, Bury St Edmunds. Pours clear bright amber with a small bubbly/frothy white head. Aroma of orange, ripe tropical fruit, veg, biscuit, caramel, touch of herb and ashtray. Medium plus fruity sweetness, light bitterness, touch of berry tart. Moderate body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Looked really good but its looks were deceiving.

Cloudy pale gold with a frothy, almost creamy white head and a grapefruit aroma. Light to medium bodied, with a slightly grainy mouthfeel, grapefruit bitterness is to the fore, with a smattering of light malt thrown in, and a dry bitter finish

Remember thinking this was the bees pyjamas the first time I had it, probably ten years ago, but now it's either changed, or my taste has! Still a decent enough pale ale - pours pale amber with a frothy white head, and a fruity, hoppy aroma. Smooth bodied and a nicely balanced fruit malt and citrus fruit flavour, with floral hop/citrus bitterness in the finish.

Purity Switch Black 7% 12/5/21 On tap at Purecraft, Birmingham. Pours a very dark reddish brown with minimal head. The barrek aging is immediately evident from the sherry aroma. It’s there in the mouth as well, along with dark fruits, roasted malts, cherries, vanilla and coconut. Finish is dry with alcoholic warmth. Quite a nice beer for rating no 900.
