XT Brewing Co is an innovative, independent brewery crafting a wide range of exceptional beers. Our XT beers form the core range of characterful, full flavoured brews and our wild side, Animal Brewing Co, pushes the boundaries with new and exciting one-off specials. The options are as infinite as the natural world.

We designed and installed our 18 barrel brewery during 2011 and brewed the first full scale gyle in November 2011. The equipment was custom built for us in Burton upon Trent.

The brewery is on the beautiful Notley Farm estate on the Oxfordshire Buckinghamshire borders, with far reaching views over the Chiltern hills. We are as eco-friendly and sustainable as possible; recycling nearly all our waste products and our spent raw materials go to local farmers to feed their cattle and pigs.

Cask (gravity) @ NWAF 2015, National Winter Ales Festival (2015), The Roundhouse, Pride Park, Derby, Derbyshire, England, DE24 8JE. [ As XT 15 English IPA ].Clear medium orange amber color with a small to average, frothy and open, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, pale malt, moderate hoppy, orange - citrus, grapefruit, warm fruit, licorice hops. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, warm citrus - fruit, licorice hops, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. Cask gravity at the brewery on XT Brewery Club Members evening, Thursday 1st December 2016 Very hazy amber with a sprightly, spritzy bubbly white head. This isn’t so very sour and also not so very fruity really so I am not putting it in fruit or sour category as I don’;t think that is what is intended, it’s more bitter like with a fruitier than normal tang I guess, I was chatting to Russ (brewer) for quite a while I guess that I should have clarified this with him. There is a little cherry bite (perhaps?), enjoyable beer, not my favourite a little dry at the finish, it’s fine. But like the other’s it is so cold in here that the beer is really cold also. Btw I forgot to take the abv down, I think that this is correct. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov14 3.4

Cask gravity at the brewery on XT Brewery Club Members evening, Thursday 1st December 2016 Pours dark brown edging towards black (it’s almost black actually) with a small light beige head, it’s bloody freezing in here this evening so this beer is no different, brrr.... very cold. Smooth but roasty but with a late smokiness (smoked malts used perhaps?). This coconut shows later on, but it is well integrated here and certainly doesn’t overpower in any way, it’s good, best beer of the evening. Btw I think but am not certain that the abv that I have put down is correct. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

Cask gravity at XT Brewery Beer club members night, Thursday 1st December 2016 A decent fruity bitter, pours amber in colour, apparently brewed with rosehips and blackberries, a good tanginess. I am guessing English hops are used as it has a rustic earthy quality. Fine A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov12 3.3

Cask at GBBF 2016. Day 1. Pours hazy yellow with a light, white cream topping. Big phenolics in here, some lemon peel, yeast, melon. Moderately sweet, with light grainy bitterness. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Fairly sweet to finish. Simplistic stuff.
