First ratingDraught at Cafe Klasch, Moabit, BerlinOn June 6, 2008Clear red color, beautifully fluffy tan head. Also poured correct, one of the few times I saw it happen on this Berlin trip, and that it happened in this pretty much run down neighbourhood pub was surprising though nice! Sweet, malty, butter, grainy taste. Dry and fresh. Sweet malty fresh scent. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness.6/5/7/3/14=3.5Rerate50 cl bottle from a relative. BB 12.2011, sampled on July 31, 2011Clear copper color, fairly big white head. Sweet, malty, grainy, acidic scent. Malty, mineral, dry, bitter, grainy taste. Medium to moussy mouthfeel, medium high bitterness accentuated by the dry aftertaste.7/4/7/3/14=3.5Rerate50 cl bottle thanks to my uncle, on March 24, 2016. nice beer, of what i call "classic" type. But it’s not really anything special. Not worth it to pay more than what you pay for local beer. palate was a little too watery for my taste. If it is a mainstream beer,it’s okay, of it is marketed as something special, i’d say it’s not worth your time.

Courtesy of Degarth. Pours clear copper with gold edges and white head. The aroma is mild with a couple of different malts that are difficult to discern. The flavor is yeasty, sweet, toasted-faint-caramel and then becomes a bit astringent and dusty. There’s also a mild vague hoppiness underneath. It ends dry and mildly tart.

Amber with a lasting white head leaving some lace. Weak, but elegant malt aroma. Sweet and malty, with a slightly bitter finish.

Bottle. Caramel malt, banana, and berry aroma. Cloudy amber color with small head. Ripe banana, orange, raspberry and light malt flavor. Palate a bit light. Berry flavor unusual but flavor and body a bit too light.

Huge, dense yellow-pinkish-amberish head, leaving titbits of lace over fully hazy amber-greenish beer. Caramel jumping out of the glass, and finally, after much reducing of the head, banana and other fruity esters. Again caramel solution, with very, very little else. Some (caramel-dowsed) dried fruits and overripe bananas, bit of bubble-gum... that’s it. Empty, even the wheat slickness missing - just an aftertaste with diluted molasses. Yeast gives some creaminess. Very poor caramelwater - sorry, Weizenbier.

The form of the bottle is very strange, very simple labels. The beer in the glass looks good, more red than blond. The beginning is very fruity-zippy. With every gulp the beer becomes drier. But very drinkable - a good beer.

A very good beer. The bottle needs to get used to. The beer is very dark, copper-coloured, fine foam. Roast-malty taste, dry, but not to strong. Enduring finish. Well done, but a little bit too expensive.
