Cask at Waterloo Tap. Aroma has sour citrus and damp malts. Peripheral spice. Clear copper gold. Foamy white head. Light-medium sour citrus over laid back malts.. Grainy edge. Light-medium bodied at best. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish

Solid overall. Not big in terms of depth of character but overall it’s super drinkable. Nice toasted biscuits, modest piney bitterness, grass, dried orange rind. Nips of earth and leaf. Nicely balanced. Moreish.

Buying this beer at Heinrich 3000, february 2024. Best before 03/25, drinking it two days ago, at Epalingea. A classical Belgian ale, I could say basic, malty, smooth, sweet, fruity, classical bitterness, a bit watery, refreshing.

[Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading.] A pale straw coloured pour with a thin white head; cucumber aroma; very thin and watery with a cucumber and melon taste; then a light spicy bitterness. Not a favourite.

Cask at Square Peg, Birmingham. Pours a pale straw with a small foamy off-white head and good lacing. There’s melon and cucumber in the aroma. In the mouth it is decidedly sharp but with a little underlying sweetness. Flavours of citrus, lemon, cucumber and melon plus traces of tropical fruits and kiwi later on. Sharpness lasts into the somewhat dry finish. This is reasonable – more sharp / tart than sour though.
