Two pints at the Cross Keys Spoons on Gracechurch. Looks fantastic in the glass, a really amazing light brown coffee and cream. The taste was like a white coffee mixed with beer. A rich mouthfeel but that was probably its downfall- a bit too rich. And I shouldn't have had the second. Still really good.

Cask at the Barrel Vault, St Pancras on 20th March 2026. Deep ruby brown with minimal, dull foam and scant lacing. Dark chocolate and coffee roast malt aroma. Mild herbs, dark chocolate and coffee in-mouth and a finish of cake fruits and roasty malts. Smooth mouthfeel and plenty of body.

Cask at the moon under water Watford Jdw. As adnams flat white. A clear reddish mahogany brown coloured pour with a small lasting greyish beige head. Aroma is semi sweet, odd green pepper, brown sugars, mellow roast coffee. Flavour is composed of semi sweet nutty roast, faint coffee, mellow brown sugars. Little green pepper. Palate is semi sweet rounded, creamy, mellow cask condition not bad.

Third of a pint in my local Spoons on 7th March 2026. Red leaning in the dark looking brew, off white roof. Interesting without being too exciting. Did it remind me of a 'Flat White' coffee, no not really, but I did enjoy it's malty flavours.

Cask handpull at Masque Haunt Old Streef London JDW. Black beer lasting tan head. Coffee flavour. Quite smooth in the mouth. Good coffee flavour. Not overly creamy. I liked the coffee chocolate flavour. Moderate bitterness on the finish. Good.

Cask at Moon Under Water, Wolverhampton. Pours very dark reddish-brown with a medium sized foamy tan head and some lacing. There’s roasted malts and milk chocolate in the aroma. In the mouth it is sweet and smooth with a creamy texture. Flavours are roasted malts, dark fruits and coffee grounds with some hints of grapes coming later. Some dryness in the finish. This is quite nice.

Wetherspoon Spring Beer Festival 2026, Beer#7. Very dark clear red coloured, looking blacker from a distance. It has a full-on coffee aroma, plenty in taste with more bean involved. Fairly easy textured for its more fuller strength.
