somewhat opalescent dark golden colour, moderate sized dense ecru-ish white head; aroma of stone fruit, pomelo, some litchi, orange peel oils and lemon zesty notes; hoppy taste with similar notes to the aroma and some slight linden honey notes; good IPA

(Can) Brownish amber colour with creamy, tan head. Malty nose with dried fruit, bread, treacle toffee, apricots, orange peel and spices. Malty taste with notes of fruit cake, treacle toffee, dried apricots, caramel, orange peel and a balanced spicy/earthy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Well balanced, smooth and fairly generic bitter. Quite nice.

Best before 05/25, buying it in Germany, opening it two days ago at home, sharing it with my wife. A light and tasty pale ale, sparkling, herbal, dry, malt, citrus, bitter, a bit watery, aromatic and floral hop, just refreshing.

29/7/2017. Cask at The Bricklayers, Colchester. Pours very dark brown with a small creamy off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, moderate roasting, light hop, dark fruit and a touch of citrus. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, very soft carbonation. Also 30/12/2025. Cask at The Cherry Tree, Woodbridge. Nice warming pint of old ale after a walk around Woodbridge in cold bright weather. Enjoyed both. See photo.

Bottle from Waitrose. Clear deep golden body with an off-white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of orange zest, Turkish delight and flower petals. Flavour of white grape and biscuit with a bitter hop finish. Medium body with a slick texture. Light fizz. I thought this was very tasty and reminiscent of how Sierra Nevada pale ale used to taste ten years ago.

Fra cask på The Globe Moorgate: klar kobbergylden med fint skum som varer. Brød, urter, gress og furunål. Tørr, bitter og noe endimensjonal.
