Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Clear gold. Minimal, white head. Caramel malts. Grapefruit pith. Not a great deal else. Taste is light bitter. Palate is a little thin. Finishes light bitter, with some syrupy sweetness. Not engaging in any way.

Keg at Pivni. It pours clear amber with a thick off-white head. The nose is toasty, fresh, grass, grainy, brown bread and lemon meringue. The taste is crisp, bitter, toasty grain, cereal, soap, lemony citrus and grass with a dry finish. Light body and moderate carbonation. Crisp, light and easy going. Good low abv job.

Cask. Tapped, Leeds. Just about black. Thick, dense, lasting tan head. Chocolate. Oats. Light fruitiness. Donโ€™t get the star anise, really. Has a milky sweetness, but this is mostly dry, with a little bitterness. Creamy palate, with some spice. Finishes dry, with more of the spice. Good stuff.
