Tap. Friends of Ham, Leeds. Clear, dark gold. Thin, lasting, white head. Sweet malts. Grassy hop. Some oily citrus hop. Taste is crisp dry, with a zesty, grassy hop bitterness. Clean palate. Some sharpness. Finishes sharp, zingy bitter. Nice, crisp, hoppy lager. Good stuff.

Cask. Tapped, Leeds. Just about black. Thick, dense, lasting tan head. Chocolate. Oats. Light fruitiness. Don’t get the star anise, really. Has a milky sweetness, but this is mostly dry, with a little bitterness. Creamy palate, with some spice. Finishes dry, with more of the spice. Good stuff.
