Keg at Mother Kelly’s, 14/05/15. Murky salmon pink eith little in the way of a covering. Nose is soured berries, plastic, straw, faint citric. Taste comprises tangy blueberry, light acidic, wood notes, tarte berry, straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with faint acidity. Pretty basic and a touch shabby.

Keg @ Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Pours gold with white head. Has a sharp, pronounced bitterness ruling the palette. A little obtrusive at first but give it a few sips and it really starts to settle in, its bite unrelenting but adding a welcome edge to an otherwise grassy lager character.

Keg at Mother Kelly’s - London. Pours clear yellow-gold with a creamy white head. Loads of butyric acid in the nose, some blue cheese, baby vomit, overripe citrus fruits. Light sweet flavor, very watery, but not without ever-present notes of bile, cheese and vomit. Light bodied with soft carbonation. Faint tart lemon in the finish, some doughy wheat, white sugars, spew. It’s almost flat, which really doesn’t help its cause. An embarrassing beer.

Earl Of Essex. Keg. Light haze on this gold beer, small white head. Palate is light and semi dry, good crispness. Nice sweet bready pale malts. Mild marmalade, trace of lemon. Mild floralness. Light crisp finish. Nice lager, has some actual lager character as well as hops!

White Hart. Cask. Hazy gold beer, tidy white head. Smooth palate with nice fine carbonation. Nice condition. Light and semi sweet pale malts. Polaris hop - strange beast is it not? Starts with a sweetish floralness followed be touches of melon and startfruit. Mild hop skunk follows. Traces of fruit salad sweets, pineapple cube sweets and marmalade. Smooth semi dry finish. Interesting and drinkable.
