Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Cloudy, plum tinged gold. Very bubbly, off white head. Sweet, bready malts. Soft clove. Some banana. There’s a fruity sweetness to it, with a hint of stone fruit. Not sure I’d have guessed at plums though, had I not known. Taste is fruity sweet, with just a little dryness at the end. Loads of carbonation masks any spice, to start, but as the beer calms, there’s a tingle of pepper on the tongue. Finish is fruity sweet. Hint of dry spiciness on the close. Bit sweet for me, but refreshing, and easy drinking.

Bottle picked up by Lynn & Barry (cheers both) consumed at home, Sunday 7th December 2014. Pours a true hefeweizen colour and look, hazy with lovely clean white head, nose is spritzy, zippy and clean. A tiny bit sweet, gassy, bit burpy and refreshing, lovely wheaty back end. Soft in mouth a little creamy vanilla ice cream, lovely but I know if drinking in the summer I would rate it even higher. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

330ml bottle. Pours dark orange with a thin head. Aroma is sour green apple and a little rhubarb. Taste has rhubarb to start with a sour apple and ginger finish.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Kenneth. Pours very murky burnished gold with a creamy white head. The nose holds some tangy lemon, melon. Medium sweet flavor with mild sourness, a bit of gritty yeast, earth, some citrus. Light bodied with fine, spritzy carbonation. Lightly warming to finish with slight lemony tartness, light alcohol, melon, pale bread. OK.

Bottle thanks to Kenny. It pours dirrty pond water with minimal head. The nose is soft, fruity, red apple, rhubarb, candy and earth. The taste is bitter, earth, brett, dirt, spice, drying, ginger, generic fruits and mild acidity with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. More earthy than sour. Not the most refined beer out there.

Tap. Brewdog, Sheffield. Hazy copper colour. Bubbly, off white head, that doesn’t hang around. Fruity. Stewed apple type thing. Soft toffee. Light, brown sugar. Taste is sugary sweet. Dryness at the end. Decent body, that matches the soft carbonation well. Finishes with more of the stewed apple sweetness. Light dry close. For a style that’s not my favourite, I really liked this one.

Aroma is a definately a little sour but not getting too much cherry. Really tart and twangy, real puckeringly sour, still not getting much cherry. Ok A6 A3 T6 P3 Ov12 3.0
