Cask at the Peterborough Beer and Cider Festival 2024 with Grumbo and ITFCDan. Aroma is sweet malts, digestive biscuit, ginger (but not overpowering). Very sweet taste and not bitter. Watery body.

Cask at The Wellington, Birmingham. Crystal clear gold with small white head. Clean, fairly sweet malt with some floral and mandarin notes. Light but slick with a prickly carbonation. No huge flavours but pleasant and extremely sessionable.

Cask at Head of Steam, Birmingham. Clear light gold with small white top, good lacing. This one had notes of biscuit, a mild yeasty sour stone fruit and a moderate bitter hop. Medium bodied, semi-drying. Pleasant enough but I think they need to up their game with pale cask offerings - too many are middle of the cycle lane.

Cask at Cherry Reds, Birmingham. Hazy yellow-gold with small white head. Notes of peach, mandarin and minerals. Light to medium bodied, semi-drying. Easy drinking. Simple but enjoyed it.

Cask. Clear pale gold with smooth white head. Slight tangy citrus and grapefruit with cereals and a grassy sweet finish. Decent bitterness running through. Medium bodied, smooth, semi-drying. Went down well.

Can from Hop Vault, Stourbridge, online. Pours a dark cloudy gold with small white head, nice retention and lacing. Aroma of caramel, citrus, zest, apricot. Taste of caramel, biscuit, pineapple, dried tropical fruit, light bitterness. Very smooth medium body gives it nice texture. Quite a malty IPA in truth but enjoyable.

Cask at Craven Arms, Birmingham. Black with small beige head. Roasted malt, brown sugar, coffee, blackcurrant, milk, bitter finish. Medium bodied smooth. Good level of complexity to this, maybe a touch too sweet which is the only thing stopping it being a cracking stout.

440ml can from Hop Vault, Stourbridge, online. Clear gold, small white head, settles to nice covering. Aroma of biscuit malts, stone fruit salad, tangerine, grass. Taste is biscuit, mango, tangerine, apricot, moderate grassy bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied, light dryness. Nice IPA.
