Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. A slightly hazy, golden amber pour with a thin, loose, white head; floral aroma; crisp grapefruit bitterness immediately, then giving way to a softer , sweeter, citrusy body; finishing with a further, lasting, bitter kick with a fresh floral edge. A refreshing and enjoyable summer beer.

Cask at Black Door, Helsinki. Colour is dark brown with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Fruits, hops, chocolate, dryness and roasted malts.

Cask (Oliver Twist, Stockholm) - Gold/amber in colour. Gooseberries, sultanas, grapefruit and peach in the aroma. Nicely balanced taste with biscuity malt and hoppy notes of mango, grapefruit, peach and apricot detected.

The hand-pulled pint in ’The White Hart’ Shifnal on the 21 Aug 2013 looked very interesting: black and moody, with a full beige coloured creamy head that gave of some impressive lacing. Roasted/toasted malt aroma and taste: some hints of chocolate and semi-sweet caramel melting over a wood fire. Not as rich or creamy as it first looks indicated, but this is still a fine beer and the body suited the alcohol level and overall flavours. Different and pleasant from start to finish.

(Cask at Kitty’s, 20130821) The beer poured almost black and clear. Its head was long lasting, medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had pine, grass and roasted malts mildly in the background. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were pine, burnt malts, grass, liquorice, ash and bitterness. Afteraste was hoppy, burnt and bitter. The burnt malts were too much present in the taste but otherwise the beer was really good

Cask at Oliver Twist, Akkurat. Hazy amber. Rich aroma of tangerine, lychee and black currant. Mid sweet with medium body and drying salty hops. Plenty of black currant and lychee. Long bitter finish. Neither the body, nor the amount of flavour suggests that this is a 4% beer...

Cask at the William Webb Ellis, Twickenham, 26/07/13. Very lightly hazed golden amber with a medium sized off white head that retains well. Nose carries a decent level of hops, light grapefruit, orange, tarte apricot. Taste comprises bitter grapefruit, orange pith, earthy hops. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry finish with a good coating of bitterness. Decent cask IPA. Added this as an IPA as opposed to a golden blonde. 2 reasons - it had enough hop presence to warrant the former, plus more tropical fruit notes than your average GB. It also breaches the 5% barrier and when added with the flavours I picked out makes this more IPA. Slightly borderline, other opinions are available ...

(Cask at Pikkulintu, 20130722) The beer poured deep golden and clear. Its head was small, long lasting and white. Aroma had fruitiness, citricness and malts. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, grapefruit, malts, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was bitter and lightly acrid. Aroma was very good but the taste, especially the aftertaste, was displeasing.

Cask at The Lyric, Soho, London. A golden/amber coloured pour with a small white head on top. Hoppy, malty, citrus aroma. Tastes hoppy, malty, citrus fruit, some tropical fruit too.
