Blonde colour. Lots of fizz. Minty, slightly spicy aroma. Light body. Flavour shows spicy hop notes and moderate bitterness. Quick rather than dry finish. More northern than Bavarian in style.

Bottled. Pale golden. Bready and dry with rounded, rich maltiness. Plenty of grassy hops and well balanced bitterness. A very good example of south German pils!

Pours with a light grassy, lemony aroma. Cloudy yellow-orange body with abundant "floaties" and a thin off-white head. Flavor is lemony and bready/toasty with spicy phenols that I can’t quite place. Finishes with a somewhat off-putting dirty yeast flavor. Contrary to some reviews here my bottle is not at all flavorless. All in all a mixed bag.

Draft. A light golden beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of straw and malt, but also lighter notes of hops. The flavor is sweet mlaty with notes of straw, leading to a slightly bitter and slightly floral finish.

Appearance: water with a bit of yellow food coloring. Smell: absolutely nothing special- smells like a beer tent at a festival. Taste: grassy water. This beer has very very very little flavor. Mouthfeel isn't bad, surprisingly. Just enough carbonation. I'll never drink this beer again, it simply isn't worth my time.

Dark brown in colour, a small amount of ruby highlights are noticeable however. A unattractive off-white SUPER-large bubbled head tops the beer and fades fast. Aroma of strong raisins, caramel, soy sauce, grapes, malt and alcohol. Medium to Full-bodied; Chewy mouthful with a bunch of sweetness. Soon after the sugars hit the palate, some of the meatiness of the soy sauce becomes evident and then fades to a metallic maltiness. Aftertaste shows a bunch of the bittering characteristics of this one, and hardly any of the sweetness. Overall, this one changes over the 'sip lifecycle', but not too pleasant throughout! I bought this 33 cL bottle from Beers of the World in Rochester, New York and sampled it on 16-December-2003.
