Description

Bottle. Clear golden body with lively carbonation and a big, frothy white head. Aroma has pale malt, spicy yeast, esters and a bit herbal. Taste is sweet pale malt, cane sugar, spicy and herbal with a fruity touch. Well balanced even as it feels rather sweet on the teeth. Balanced body and same aftertaste. Nothing outrageous but a well made classic Belgium ale that feels somewehere in-between a Blond and a Tripple.

33cl bottle from Hopt, France. Poured warm by mistake and therefore put to cold in the fridge. Subsequently pours foamless, loaded gold. Aroma is fruity, honey, peach. Body is average, on the thick side, with moderate carbonation. Quite an alcoholic feeling. Taste is pretty sweet, though with a good balancing bitterness. Final is long and alcoholic.

04-12-20 // 330ml bottle. Drinking trappists is always a joy. Rich malty, a higher carbonation. Drier finish.

Bottle online from Beerhouseshop.be. Pours a dark chestnut brown colour with a large thick creamy off-white head. Aromas of dry dark fruits, caramel and a little candied sugar. Taste has more dry dark fruits, caramel, a little sweetness and a lot of peppery spice. Very well balanced. Medium body with a lively fizzy palate and a slightly oily mouthfeel. Very nice Bruin.
