About
The philosophy of the brewery was from the start on based on the priority use of regional raw materials in order to perpetuate the brewing and agricultural tradition of the Nord Pas de Calais region. Thus, the range of ''Bières de Garde'' are brewed exclusively from hops from the Coophounord regional cooperative.

At a tasting, opaque black color, aroma of toasted dark bread, vanila, chocolate liqour baba o rhum and a spicy hint,flavor of choclate and liqour, quite sweet at first, but becomes driwd with notea of ash coming through. Nice bur not to complex.

At a tasting, small creamy head, opaque very sark brown color, arom of prunes, balasami, vanila, minerals and dark bread in the back, flavor of dark chocolate, cocoa, chocolate liquor, minerals and dark bread, quite sweet. Nice.

Bottle at home, 20th May 17. Pours black, with a slight head. Aroma is liquorice, chocolate, cocoa, peat. Taste is liquorice, dry, not too sweet, dark chocolate, roasted malts and some ash. Palate slightly thin, but overall a great impy.

From 33cl bottle at Birroteca88, Cattolica, Italy. Pours hazy gold, slightly orange with fairly high head of white foam. Aroma had some sweetness from the malt body and likely from the rhubarb, as well as indication of tropical fruits from the Pacific hops used. Body is medium, with low carbonation. Taste is sweetish but with nice underlying bitterness. A hint of sourness. Marked alcoholic feeling for the declared level of 6.9. Finish is relatively long with a mix of sweet and tangy.
